The City of Santa Fe is looking for two qualified facilitators to join its Strengthening Families program, which is funded by the CYFD JJAC grant. This early-intervention program helps children, youth, and parents build stronger, healthier family relationships while addressing common challenges such as school difficulties, substance use, and stress.
If you have a passion for working with families and want to make a real difference in your community, this could be a great opportunity for you.
What is the Strengthening Families Program?
The Strengthening Families program offers early support to families showing signs of concern, especially related to school behavior, stress, and substance use. It focuses on building positive habits, improving family relationships, and helping both parents and youth learn healthy coping skills.
The model is designed to strengthen the whole family, not just address individual behavior. Families learn to communicate better, solve problems, and support each other in positive ways.
You can view the full program model and curriculum on the Strengthening Families website.
Program Structure
Facilitated sessions are held once a week for two hours. Each session includes:
First Hour: Parents and youth attend separate classes
Second Hour: Families come together to practice what they’ve learned
This structure helps both parents and children learn new skills on their own and then apply them together—building a stronger bond.

One facilitator for youth sessions – Will handle four youth cohorts across 48 total sessions
One facilitator for adult sessions – Will handle four adult cohorts across 48 total sessions
Payment: $200 per session
Total Compensation per Facilitator: $9,600
